Task Centre overview

The Task Centre is your single list of things that need attention — expiring domains, unpaid invoices, failed backups, VoIP top-ups and more — so nothing slips. Find it under Operations → Task Centre.

The Tasks badge & count

A Tasks pill in the top bar shows the outstanding count and turns highlighted when there's anything to do. It polls in the background (about every 12 seconds) so it stays current on every page — you don't have to sit on the Task Centre to see new items. Ignored items and future-dated things drop out of the count automatically, so the number reflects what's actually actionable.

The tabs

Each area is a tab; a coloured badge on each shows its count (green = clear, amber = attention, red = urgent).

  • Traffic & DDoS — IPs hammering your sites (100+ requests in 60s). Scoped to your own domains.
  • Domain Expiry — domains and aliases expiring within 30 days, soonest first, with an urgency badge. Renew or Ignore per row.
  • Domain Status — domains that are expired, in redemption, suspended or unregistered. Renew, or Ignore to let one drop off the list (see below).
  • Registrations (operator) — customers awaiting approval, with their fraud (Veritus) score. Approve activates the account; Reject marks it rejected.
  • VoIP Activations (operator) — new VoIP clients that need activating in the voip.ms portal, with a Sync now button (see the VoIP operations guide).
  • VoIP Top-up (operator) — warns when the master voip.ms reseller balance drops to/below $5, with a top-up link and a Client spend link.
  • Billing Actions (operator) — overdue invoices classified into overdue / suspend / terminate phases by how many days late.
  • Invoices — unpaid invoices (overdue and upcoming/due).
  • Services (operator) — any hosting-stack service currently down.
  • Failed Jobs (operator) — server jobs that errored in the last 7 days.
  • Failed Backups — backups that didn't complete in the last 7 days — check the destination and re-run.
  • Quota (operator) — customers genuinely over a positive mailbox or database limit (an empty/zero quota just means "no allocation" and is never flagged).

Renew & Ignore

In the Expiry and Status tabs, Renew starts the renewal for that domain/alias. Ignore permanently hides a domain from the list — the record stays on the system, it just stops appearing here (and stops counting on the badge). Use it to let a domain you don't want quietly drop off. Aliases also have a Remove action that tears the alias down completely.

Working the list

  1. Open the Task Centre and review each tab (or watch the top-bar badge).
  2. Act on each item — renew a domain, pay/chase an invoice, re-run a backup, top up VoIP.
  3. Items clear once the underlying issue is resolved or ignored.
