Registering domains

You can register new domains directly through TDesk — no separate registrar account needed. Registered domains are wired straight into hosting, mail and DNS automatically.

Registering a domain

1. Go to Registration in the sidebar
2. Search for the name you want
3. Pick from the available results and confirm

Registration usually completes within a couple of minutes. UK domains (.uk, .co.uk etc.) go through Nominet directly; other TLDs through our upstream registrar.

Renewals

Domains renew automatically before expiry while your account is in good standing. You'll see renewal activity on the domain's Registration tab, along with expiry date and registrar status.

Nameserver changes

Domains registered through TDesk are set to our nameservers automatically. If you need different nameservers (hosting the domain elsewhere), change them from the domain's Registration tab.

Transferring a domain in

Already own the domain elsewhere? You don't have to transfer it to host with us — just point the nameservers at TDesk (see DNS overview). If you'd like the registration managed here too, contact support@tdesk.uk and we'll handle the transfer.
