Mailbox management

Create and manage IMAP/SMTP mailboxes from the Mail section of the panel.

Creating a mailbox

  1. Go to MailMailboxes
  2. Click Add mailbox
  3. Pick the domain and the local part (e.g. info)
  4. Set a strong password
  5. Set a quota (default 2 GB)

Connection settings

Once created, set up your mail client with:

IMAP server: mail.tdesk.uk
IMAP port: 993 (SSL)
SMTP server: mail.tdesk.uk
SMTP port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (STARTTLS)
Username: full email address (e.g. info@example.co.uk)
Password: the password you set

Webmail

Visit webmail.tdesk.uk and sign in with the full email address and password. SnappyMail interface, works on mobile too. Hosted domains also get their own webmail address — see Webmail.

Catch-all address

When creating or editing a mailbox you can tick Catch-all. This creates a real mailbox plus a wildcard alias, so mail sent to any address at the domain that doesn't match an existing mailbox or alias is delivered there instead of bouncing. One catch-all per domain. Use sparingly — catch-alls collect a lot of spam.

Autoresponders

Each mailbox has an Autoresponder action for out-of-office or holiday replies. Set the subject and message, switch it on, and every sender gets one automatic reply. Switch it off when you're back — it doesn't expire on its own.
