Domain aliases & redirects
A domain alias makes one domain behave as another — serving the same website, receiving its mail, or redirecting to it. Manage aliases from a domain's detail page.
Adding an alias
- Open the main domain from Active Sites.
- In its Aliases section, enter the alias domain.
- Tick what the alias should do:
- Web — serve the main domain's website on the alias.
- Mail — accept mail for the alias into the main domain.
- Redirect — 301-redirect the alias to the main domain instead of serving it.
- Click Add.
Adding many at once
Use the bulk option to add a list of aliases in one go — handy when pointing several spellings or TLD variants at one site.
Removing
Click delete on an alias row to remove it.
For a standalone domain that should redirect somewhere (not alias an existing site), use Forwarding mode instead.
