Shop setup

Setup is your shop's core configuration. Go to Ecommerce → Setup, fill in the sections below, and click Save.

Store Identity

  • Shop Name — shown across the storefront and in page titles.
  • Tagline — a short strapline; also a fallback for your home page meta description.
  • Storefront Domain — the domain the shop is served on, e.g. shop.example.com. This must match the domain you put into Shop hosting mode (see below), or visitors get a "shop not configured" page.
  • Address — your business address, shown where needed.

Contact

  • Contact Email and Contact Phone — shown to customers and used for order-related contact.

Store Configuration

  • Currency — the currency for all prices (default GBP).
  • Tax Rate (%) — your VAT rate (default 20). Prices are entered and shown VAT-inclusive.
  • Theme — the storefront design. You can set this here or in the fuller Theme editor.
  • StatusDraft keeps the shop hidden while you build it; switch to live when ready.

Payment Gateways

  • Stripe — tick to enable, then paste your Stripe publishable key (pk_live_...).
  • PayPal — tick to enable, then paste your PayPal Client ID.
  • Enable at least one before going live, or customers can't pay.

Going live

  1. Set Status to live and Save.
  2. Go to the domain (Active Sites) and set its hosting mode to Shop.
  3. Make sure that domain matches the Storefront Domain you set here.
  4. Visit the domain — your shop should load.
