Shop setup
Setup is your shop's core configuration. Go to Ecommerce → Setup, fill in the sections below, and click Save.
Store Identity
- Shop Name — shown across the storefront and in page titles.
- Tagline — a short strapline; also a fallback for your home page meta description.
- Storefront Domain — the domain the shop is served on, e.g.
shop.example.com. This must match the domain you put into Shop hosting mode (see below), or visitors get a "shop not configured" page. - Address — your business address, shown where needed.
Contact
- Contact Email and Contact Phone — shown to customers and used for order-related contact.
Store Configuration
- Currency — the currency for all prices (default GBP).
- Tax Rate (%) — your VAT rate (default 20). Prices are entered and shown VAT-inclusive.
- Theme — the storefront design. You can set this here or in the fuller Theme editor.
- Status — Draft keeps the shop hidden while you build it; switch to live when ready.
Payment Gateways
- Stripe — tick to enable, then paste your Stripe publishable key (
pk_live_...). - PayPal — tick to enable, then paste your PayPal Client ID.
- Enable at least one before going live, or customers can't pay.
Going live
- Set Status to live and Save.
- Go to the domain (Active Sites) and set its hosting mode to Shop.
- Make sure that domain matches the Storefront Domain you set here.
- Visit the domain — your shop should load.
