A quick map of how TDesk fits together, so the rest of the help makes sense.

The building blocks

• Domain — the foundation. Each domain has DNS, can have a hosting mode, mail, and aliases.
• Hosting mode — what a domain does: serve a website, forward, nothing, or a shop.
• Mailboxes & aliases — email for a domain.
• Plan / licence tier — sets your quotas and which features you get.
• Customer — an account, isolated from others on the platform.

How a typical setup goes

1. Add or register a domain.
2. Point its DNS at TDesk.
3. Choose a hosting mode and upload a site, or set up a shop.
4. Create mailboxes.
5. Issue SSL and you're live.
